GARY GERSON: My office is located in Pittsburg. My practice covers all of western Pennsylvania basically from Harrisburg west.
I'm passionate about the Constitution. I believe in the presumption of innocence, the burden of proof being on the commonwealth or government, as the case may be. I look upon myself as someone who protects the rights of people.
Each of us has a constitutionally guaranteed right against unreasonable searches and seizures, against self-incrimination. We have a constitutionally guaranteed right to counsel and a right to due process.
I'm a competitive person by nature. I love the arena of getting into a courtroom and protecting the constitutionally guaranteed rights of my clients. I understand that when I represent someone accused of a crime that I'm not only representing them but also their family members and loved ones.
I get the greatest satisfaction in achieving a successful outcome in cases for my clients, the people that allow me to fight for them. There is no greater compliment than to have a case referred to me by another attorney or a former client.
